Our Response to Covid-19

Animal Hospital of Lake Villa will not be permitting any clients to enter the facility until further notice.
To minimize client’s and staff member’s likelihood of exposure, we now offer concierge service for all appointments.

Schedule your appointment as usual! Hours before your pet’s appointment, you’ll receive a text or email with preliminary questions for your vet’s visit. The sooner you return those to us the better. Upon arrival, note what parking space you are in and give us a call or text. Once we’re ready, an assistant will grab your pet. Please keep in mind that dogs are not used to seeing people in masks so bring your pet out of the car and hand him or her to the veterinary assistant. Avoid using retractable leashes as they are hard to control and can cause problems. Please keep in mind that we are close to a busy road so do not just open your car door. A frightened pet may run into heavy traffic or away from us wearing masks. The veterinarian and/or technician will contact you on the phone number you provided throughout the exam form to discuss any concerns you may have as well as the diagnostic findings, treatments and/or estimate when requested. Payment will be collected over the phone as we are trying to minimize everyone’s contact. Please bring your smartphone or tablet with you as many of our consent forms have been digitized for your convenience and to reduce contact.

Medications may be requested through our Online Pharmacy. Medications dispensed at the hospital should be requested as usual but please keep in mind that due to allocations and backorders, we may not have your medication in stock. We have always recommended ordering prescriptions 1-2 weeks before you run out. Once your medication has been filled and ready for pickup, we’ll notify you via text message. Once you have arrived for pick up, give us a call to let us know and so that we can collect payment over the phone. A veterinary assistant will bring it to your car.
